It's cold, and rainy. People are sitting outside in the darkness, lit solely by a few lights on tall lamposts. On their hands are black markings resembling numbers. Are these people waiting to be trekked off to a Nazi camp? No, they're camping out days in advance to purchase Sony's NextGen console offering: PS3.

I talked with a few of the people that were awake when I stopped by Wed(11/16) on my way to work. Some of the interesting statistics that most people are interested in are:

  • Ages: 16-31
  • 5 out of 33 were planning on actually keeping the console, and not selling it on Ebay
  • One individual was being paid by his brother to sit in line and purchase the unit for him.

The following are a few pictures I snapped at the Best Buy by the Dayton mall that morning:
The whole sidewalk Right side of entrance More of the right side
Those awake, on the left side More of the left side

If you have any pictures, movies, anything from camping out yourself or from those that were camping out, please send them my way.
